The second edition of New Music Plus... was developed by PRS for Music Foundation in partnership with the hub, and funded by Arts Council England, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Sound and Music. It brought together 10 of the North West’s most dynamic arts organisations. Here’s who they are...

Band on the Wall

Band on the Wall is a not for profit venue in Manchester. Home to hundreds of gigs a year, its music programme features musicians from around the world – playing jazz, folk, world music, electronic and good old fashioned pop. It also runs an education programme for young people, in the venue and local schools.

Bluecoat

Liverpool’s creative hub, the Bluecoat showcases talent across visual art, music, dance, live art and literature. It houses four galleries, a creative community of artists and businesses and runs a participation programme with local communities.

Contact Theatre

Contact is a Manchester venue which provides a range of theatre, dance, dance club, comedy and art events and wider development programmes aimed at empowering young people to become leaders in both the arts and their communities.

Cornerhouse

Cornerhouse is Manchester's international centre for contemporary visual arts and independent film. It houses three floors of contemporary art galleries, three screens showing the best of independent cinema, a bar, café and a bookshop

FACT

FACT is a Liverpool-based cinema, art gallery and the UK's leading organisation for the support & exhibition of film, art and new media.

Liverpool Biennial

Liverpool Biennial is a platform for research, commissioning and presenting international art, education and debate. Every two years, the Biennial Exhibition brings an international focus to its work.

National Museums Liverpool

National Museums Liverpool is a group of museums and galleries which includes the Walker Arts Gallery, the World Museum, the Museum of Liverpool and the Maritime Museum. Its collections contain everything from Impressionist paintings and rare beetles to a lifejacket from the Titanic.

Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra is the UK's oldest surviving professional symphony orchestra and has been at the heart of Liverpool’s cultural life since 1840. It gives approximately 70 concerts each season in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and other venues across the city and around the world.

Tate Liverpool

The Tate Liverpool  gallery displays British and international modern and contemporary art, and hosts special exhibitions and events.

Whitworth Gallery

Manchester’s Whitworth Art Gallery is part of the University of Manchester, and has notable collections of watercolours, sculptures, wallpapers and textiles, and has a focus on modern artists.
